While some may not think of it in this way, literature is a form of art, even if it doesn’t have pretty pictures, even
if you can’t see each individual stroke of a paintbrush. Instead, writing serenades you with pretty words, whereas, unlike paintings, you can interpret the meaning. At least, if you can write well enough. However, journalism isn’t
the same as writing stories, because you broadcast them rather than create them and beautify them. I plan to find
forms of literature other than just storytelling, that is why I signed up for this journalism class. To learn
about what else I can do about this hobby. My name’s Dayra Cabalsi, I’m in 9th grade and an IB student who
previously went to Dan O. Root II Health and Wellness Academy. I enjoy art, including drawing, literature,
music, fashion, and seeing every philosophical side of simple things in life. I may not know every single detail
of the things I’m interested in, but just know I have a liking toward all of those and I’m willing to know more!
Outside of art, I enjoy roller coasters and rock, indie, and folk music, etc. I like horror, and others I can’t think of right now. I promise I’m not boring, and I’ll write reports a bit differently rather than simply commentating, or showing you
readers data graphs or charts. After all, it’s my goal to learn a new form of writing texts!
