Senior Spotlight: Taking Life in Giant Steps

Shivam has paved the way to his future and he’s ready to fly!

Shivam Gohri plans to be going to Solano College in the fall, but after two years he hopes to transfer to UC Davis or Sac State where he will probably study business or kinesiology. His ultimate goal is to become a physical therapist, running his own clinic.

While he is focused on his future, he still has a little over a semester to complete in the present. An International Baccalaureate (IB) student, Gohri is finishing up his fourth year at Armijo. “I’m going to miss lunch with my friends the most,” he said.

“My favorite memory about Armijo is when I got suspended for selling candy,” he said. While he wouldn’t advise others to do such things, he would suggest that students just starting Armijo don’t save all their work until the last minute. And although he did not participate in sports during his time on campus, he would encourage others to try-out and to enjoy life. “In life, you either drip or drown. It is up to you to decide which,” he said.

When he is not at school or trying to keep up with his own assignments, he can often be found working out, playing Fortnite, watching Netflix or hanging out with his family and friends. His role models are his father and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
