Parents in the Military
When one’s parents are in the military, constantly moving around can be tough. As a service man or woman, it can be hard to cultivate relationships with family because military parents are often on duty during holidays and special occasions. They put serving our country before their personal lives.
On the other hand, growing up in a military family can allow a child to learn more about the country. Having parents in the military teaches children respect because they are directly influenced by the sacrifices that their parents make. Men and women serve our country so that we can have the freedoms that we have in the United States. Growing up with parents that serve in the military causes their children to become passionate about their country and experience firsthand what it means to be patriotic.
