Video Game Review: Lollipop Chainsaw | Zombies Don’t Stand a Chance with the Right Gamers

October is the perfect time to play the best of the best gory and zombie-slasher, thrilling games. There are so many good ones to buy or rent if you want something to play on Xbox 360/One or even PS 3/4. “But what is worth playing?” you may ask.

If you’re a zombie-lover, then take a look at Lollipop Chainsaw. This is an action game in which players control the role of Juliet Starling, a zombie-hunting cheerleader who must prevent the apocalypse.

Players use a chainsaw, explosive rounds, and special attacks to kill zombies in melee-style combat. Some attacks require dispatching multiple zombies at once and are highlighted by slow-motion effects and close-up camera angles. Cut-scenes also depict over-the-top acts of violence: a zombie boss shooting himself in the head, characters getting sliced in half by chainsaws, or even Juliet punting a decapitated head in slow motion. Exaggerated blood splashes, dismemberments, and decapitations occur frequently. During the course of the game, players can dress Juliet in outfits too.

“So what makes this game worth a look?” you’ll ask.

Not only is it a zombie game with a pretty blonde cheerleader as your main character, but it also gives you a weirder new experience than most zombie or survival games.

Go ahead and play Fallout 4, Left 4 Dead 2, or even Dead Island. Just feel free to check out Lollipop Chainsaw because it’s something you have not only seen before, but it’s also a game that is worth playing if you’re a female gamer and you love zombies just as much as the guys.
