Sibling Spotlight: Bravo and a Standing Ovation to You
Libni and Brithany Bravo are the middle siblings of a nine-child family. With so many siblings, it can be hard to find time for yourself or really connect with them all.
Libni, Brithany, and their older brother Gerson all go to Armijo High School. Gerson was unavailable for comment, but Libni and Brithany confirmed that they were closer because of the small age difference.
It’s not always easy to get everyone together in a family of this size, but Libni said that the siblings do like to watch movies together. The Bravo family traditions include going camping every summer and getting Chow Mein for dinner on weekends.
How well do these close siblings know each other? “[Brithany’s] a little bit introverted,” Libni said. “She’s funny, she likes to make puns—sadly—, and…she’s short.”
“Libni, she’s shy, but once you get to know her, she’s really out there. She makes a lot of jokes,” Brithany said, “She loves making friends, but she’s shy at first.”
Of course, the best of siblings pester one another too. “Sometimes she talks a lot,” Libni joked about Brithany.
“Sometimes she’s just really cranky,” Brithany said about Libni.
On the better days, Libni and Brithany enjoy similar interests together, such as watching TV shows and movies. “I love my sister, but she can get annoying, most of the time.” Libni said.
