Easy Rules for Healthy Eating
When people give instructions about how to do things, the receivers of those instructions often ask about the benefits. Getting guidance about healthy eating is one of those things.
The first question to come up is, “What is the benefit of eating healthy?” Here are five ways that people benefit from healthy eating:
- Eating healthy helps people control their strength
- Eating healthy can help improve people’s mood
- Eating healthy can combat disease
- Eating healthy can boost energy
- Eating healthy can improves longevity.
People have different reason for eating healthy and some students at Armijo were willing to share theirs. Eliseo Martinez Rodriguez said, ‘’Eating healthy is part of my health structure or else I’ll die!”
Most high-quality foods, those that are minimally processed foods like vegetables and fruits, whole grains, healthy fats and healthy sources of protein, can be found at the grocery store or at local Farmers’ Markets. Those who cook at home should also be careful about the ingredients they cook with. There are many healthy oils to use when cooking, l like canola oil, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, safflower oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, and flaxseed oil. So many choices, and each gives a slightly different flavor to common foods.
Eating healthy can be as easy by following just a few simpler rules: a lunch or dinner should include lots of vegetables, a balanced breakfast should be eaten every day, there’s no reason to starve oneself, and it is always good to have a plan before going into the grocery store. Part of that plan is making good choices, like cutting down on processed foods and things high in sodium and sugar, or switching to whole grain.
The consequences to not following a healthy diet include weight gain, tooth decay, high blood pressure, heart disease and more. Being healthy has its rewards and they are well worth pursuing.
