Athlete focus: Kaitlin at bat
Kaitlin Jeuris, graduating senior, just finished up her final season on Armijo High School’s Varsity Softball team. She first fell in love with the game in 4th grade when she first picked up a bat and glove. Jeuris is very involved in school events and activities, including powder puff, homecoming, and more. “I personally enjoy being with my classmates in any fun activities.” she says. After asking what if she will be playing in college, Kaitlin says, “I may continue to play softball in college, but most likely club sport. Other than softball, this softball player is an officer for the FCA club and participates outside of school at youth group. She will be attending UC Davis and majoring in Biology to later go into the medical field. Advice she would give to people contemplating on getting involved in sports is “…getting into sports is a great way to make close friendships, attain leadership opportunities, better you time management, and learn more about yourself. Her biggest role model is her mother because she is extremely strong and someone she aspires to be like. Kaitlin Jeuris will be missed on the softball team and her teammates will truly miss her and wish her luck in her later future!
