This great spot is called Maria’s Taco & Bar and it is located in Suisun city, 288-G Sunset ave. It is owned by Jesus and Fransisco Reynoso who not only opened on their mothers birthday but also named the restaurant after her!
Before going, I had made a reservation on their website and it was really easy and accessible. Once I had entered it looked busy but the staff greeted me and were really friendly and sat me down. The menu is a bit overwhelming and it’s a bit pricey but there are a lot of original dishes from Mexico, specifically from Guadalajara. Though, I knew what I came for, the spicy shrimp tacos! The wait time was a while but it was understandable as it was a Saturday night. After some time the waiter came with my food and the smell coming from it was delicious! I dug into my tacos first, the shrimp was tender and the perfect spice level, also perfect for those who can’t deal with a lot of spice! The rice was well cooked and the beans were so good, and for the guacamole lovers, the guacamole was so creamy that you could just taste everything that was in it and wasn’t as chunky as I know some guacamole.
Overall, It was such a good experience and I recommend it for those who are open to trying a taste of culture, to try out Maria’s Taco & Bar!
