There is nothing that can make me happier than a nice juicy, fresh, sweet, peach during the summertime. The peach season typically begins in June and lasts until August, but people say that August is when they’re at their peak. Peaches symbolize immortality and protection. They are very significant in Chinese culture, many Chinese brides carry peach blossoms on their wedding days. There are over 700 different varieties of peaches, such as white peaches, belle of georgia, nectarine, redhaven, elberta, donut peaches, etc. The best tasting one is donut peaches, they are medium-sized, round, and flat in shape with a dimpled center at each end with a taste of flavorful, juicy, and sweet, with a hint of almond. Their skin is thin, yellow or orange, and with fuzz. My favorite peach-flavored things are, peach gummy rings and peach tea snapples, although they may not come from fresh peaches they still taste like peaches and are super delicious, if you love peaches and haven’t tried that candy and drink, I very much recommend you to do so! This tradition started back in 1982 when President Ronald Reagan declared that August would officially be National Peach Month. The peach’s history can be traced all the way back to ancient China, in 6000 B.C. in the Zhejiang Province. China is the world’s largest peach producer, followed by Spain, Italy, Greece, and the United States. In the United States, California, South Carolina, Georgia, and New Jersey are where peaches are produced. Georgia is known for their peaches, their peaches have high quality, a superior taste, and an amazing appearance.
