The month of May is known as National Strawberry Month. This is the perfect month to celebrate it because the peak season for strawberries is during May. During this time and before many different species of strawberries existed. Strawberries are known to be the first fruits to ripen each spring.
There are over 600 different types of strawberries that extend from the original six that are a part of the rose family. These different types of strawberries all taste different and also differ in color and shape. It is also known that the smaller the strawberry is the more intense flavor it’ll have and the larger it is the juicer it’ll be. Out of all the different varieties of strawberries, the garden strawberry is the most common in the U.S. The seascape strawberry is symmetric in shape and blooms two times in one year. It also isn’t overly sweet.
