Fastballs and Futures: A Sit-down with Natasha

Natasha Newton is a softball player at Armijo high school, she’s a senior and this is her 3rd year as a softball player. The reason why she joined softball is because of her sophomore year P.E teacher. He was the coach and convinced her to play, so she went to the try- outs and made the team. The requirements to play on the Armijo softball team are having your Physical paper, be an active listener, have no attitude, have to be cleared on Athletic Clearance, be committed,Make sure you have a 2.0, have good grades. The head coach of Varsity is Coach Wilson. Natasha’s most important accomplishments as a player are improving as a player and learning how the sport operates. Natasha is a very passionate player but her biggest disappointment being on the softball team is not seeing people be as dedicated as she is. Natasha has strengths and weaknesses with softball. Her strengths are that she learns quickly, catches onto things quickly , and she is always committed. Her weaknesses are that she be’s to hard on herself, she overthinks her plays. Now, the season is coming very soon. Her goal for the 2023-2024 softball season is to hit a homerun, create a bond with her teammates. With the season coming shortly, the way Natsha prepares for a game is by listening to music and calling her mom for encouragement. She also practices before the game to get ahead in the game. Now with all this being said, Armijo softball will be held at Armijo High School on March 14 , 2024. Hope to see everyone there!!!
