Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate the outstanding achievements of us, women throughout history. It’s a chance to honor our women, our rights, and what we have achieved and the more we will achieve.
There have been from activists and scientists to artists and leaders etc. Women have played a big role in making our world from making our population bigger to making our world better. During Women’s History Month, we remember those who stood up for women’s right to vote and many more, for example, Susan B. Anthony. I had read an article about Susan and it stated “She became an abolition activist, even though most people thought it was odd for women to give speeches in public. Anthony made many passionate speeches against slavery.” This shows the power we want to have to try to make a bigger and better change in the world even if some don’t agree. If we work together putting at least one thing, everything could change in an instant. We also have women like Rosa Parks, who sparked the civil rights movement which changed so much with such a small argument. It’s important to highlight not only the famous figures or just the ones you know, but the ones around you and yourself, even if you haven’t done much to change. There is still something that you have done to change the world for the better and we should all feel proud with our pride forever and always. Every day there’s a woman who has made a difference in their community. Another big event that happened to all women was when we got the right to vote, our 19th Amendment on August 18, 1920. Not only did women in that time period feel proud but empowered and determined to fight for what they wanted/needed.
This Month reminds us of the progress we’ve made and the work that still lies ahead the ups and downs, and many more. No matter what, women should feel empowered. We have done a lot and everyone is so proud. Therefore It’s a time to celebrate the past, empower the present, and inspire the future. So let’s honor the amazing women who have shaped history and continue to make a difference today!
