As the winter season closes out, spring is coming in, and pretty soon. The first day of spring falls on March 19th, Easter follows up on the 31st and daylight savings also falls on the 11th. There are many things to look forward to this spring, especially the week off we get at the near end of the month. But what’s so special about the spring season and Easter?
In spring, not only do we notice the change in seasons, but our days are also longer, filled with the beautiful sights of blossoming trees and blooming flowers. As the weather warms up, it beckons us to spend more time outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature’s colorful revival. The standout event of Spring, Easter, has a unique significance to it. While mainly known as a religious holiday that symbolizes rebirth, it’s a holiday celebrated by many for the fun of it.
The origins of Easter go back to the Pre-Christian era, later adopted by Christians to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ, then evolving into one of the most adored holidays. Over time, numerous customs, such as Easter eggs, parades, and egg hunts, became associated with the holiday. Nowadays, Easter is happily celebrated by many, whether for religious significance or simply for enjoyment.
Spring and Easter both represent new beginnings and rebirth, a reminder of how life keeps going throughout the planet. With spring coming, it’s a great chance to try new things and spend time with friends outside in the nice weather.
