Music fest at Armijo! On 2/12-2/16/24 in Armijos gym many of the students participated in a music fest. Where a selection of teachers judged Armijos teachers and students’ performance. There were many different performances shown like comedy, dancing, and singing. If a performance really stunned one of the selected teachers, the performer then got that teacher’s “golden button”. The golden button was a teacher throwing golden confetti. There were many performances but only five judges, so performances were judged harshly. Not just anyone was able to get a “golden button” but someone who amazed, and wowed the judges away.
The gymnasium was set up with dozens of balloons, and backdrops covering the bleachers further from the gym doors. When walking into music fest you were given the option to buy drinks and snacks while watching. There were flowers to buy to give to anyone you chose. However not being able to use both bleachers caused seating problems. The bleachers you were allowed to sit on were overflowing, but you were not able to stay and watch if you were standing. You had to get there right after the bell rang for lunch to get a chance to sit down.
