Does social media have a negative impact on students in Armijo? As we all may know highschool students are extremely obsessed with social media/their phones. As much as they don’t realize it kills their health and mentality it does. For example when highschool students get attacked on social media like crazy they will sometimes find themselves ignoring the entire world and being so into what they are looking for on social media. Some teens will even find themselves losing track in school and everything they need to focus on in life. Once they get attached they never go back and that’s the part that affects their future. Lacking in school,failing,not eating a lot can happen. With something so strong like social media it’s likely for the students to get used to it and that’s what happened with formal student Isabella Torres. Isabella explains to us her experience with what she feels with social media and how it causes a negative impact. She explains how when she was a Freshman in highschool social media affected her credits and grades, she got extremely attached to social media to the point where school was like her last thought. She didn’t think much of it, she thought it was okay and she didn’t pay attention to how draining it was and how much it took her away from the real world and her education. She states her problem in a great manner and explain to the future highschool students to not enter the bad she did and to try their best to stay away from social media especially because for the new students highschool just starts so you must focus on it from the start or you will fall behind and it’s hard to get back up. Back to what Isabella stated, she also mentioned how her parents caught on to her falling into the social media trap but she brushed it off her shoulders and thought they are just saying that because their parents, but eventually she really thought about her parents words and realized they are right, she tried and tried and tried multiple times over and over again to try her best to not be in social media too much, but it got her she was stuck and it was too late. Moral of the story DON’T GET ATTACHED TO SOCIAL MEDIA!!!! Try your best to stay with the real world before it takes you away with the whole social media deal.
