Today, I interviewed a good friend of mine named Codie Cooper. I asked him what intrigues him about playing games such as Fortnite and Roblox, and he told me it’s due to the wide selection of mini-games the games allow you to play. An aspect of the games he likes most is being able to connect with people and make friends. On the contrary, he says that some of the toxicity can be a turn-off when wanting to play said games. I asked him if there was anything he would change about the games, and he said that the rules should be more flexible with the audience they are attracting because he thinks the rules are too strict. He also briefly mentioned that his friends are what inspired him to play these sorts of games. For Codie, it’s regular for him to finish all of his homework after he gets home to then allow himself to play video games for however long he wants, which is usually up to two hours. I even asked him which game he prefers more between Fortnite and Roblox. He told me that he prefers Roblox because you can play the game on any device, ranging from a phone, console, or computer, and more! For him personally, he usually plays his games on Xbox. He thinks of himself as the average player. Codie even let me in on how much money he’s spent on Roblox over the years, which added up to $300!
