Mr. Davis is the head of the woodworkers guild, a club here at Armijo High School. The woodworkers guild is where boys and girls alike join up together to make amazing things out of wood to show to the world. Their main goal is to show that everyone could be a good woodworker, regardless of skills and knowledge. Mr. Davis has said to all of his students “Perfect doesn’t exist, Practice makes more chances of improvement, It makes for a better worker.” Not only does he acknowledge that nobody is perfect. But he also shows that all he wants is for the better for people, for people not to give up. In the woodworkers guild no one is treated differently. He has said “Y’all are my crew, I love all of you and want the best for you.” and “Here in this room, No beef or hate exists, We are all a crew and have to work together or else accidents and injuries can happen.” I personally can say that I am in his 5th period and he’s shown that it doesn’t really take too long to improve while working with wood. To be in the woodworkers guild you have to be dedicated to your craft. This means you learn from your mistakes and you never give up on yourself. Mr Davis can be found in room S-2 if you need any more information that I forgot to cover.

About the Contributor
Brandon Morales Camarillo, Writer
Hi my name is Brandon Morales Camarillo, I am in the 11th grade. I am from Suisun City, CA. I like writing so I felt like journalism was something that I could be good at. For example, on my own time I write poems and short stories on my life and the way I view things.
I've also written things for my friends because I like to see their reactions when I write something to them. They always like my writing and say that I could probably write a book if I wanted to. They said it could be a best seller in their opinion. I wouldn't know, I don't read my own writing so I would never be aware of if it is good or not.
