In this article, I am going to be talking about cheerleading…I’ve interviewed a cheerleader and I will share what she said.
Her name is Erin Salcido and they are a sophomore and she cheers for Armijo High School. Salcido said a few words … But why did she want to cheer for Armijo? Because she saw the style of cheer and was really interested in it. She has also cheered most of her life, for about 11 years.
What drew her to the sport was seeing all the bonds and friendships and wanted something like that. This is her favorite thing about cheer. She is a captain and her spot is a flyer, which means she goes in the air. To answer the most important question, has she ever fallen? Yes, she has fallen multiple times but she has always gotten up to keep going. Since she is a captain on varsity, she makes sure all the cheerleaders are good and wants to be an example for the girls and guys. She recommends others to cheer because she has met some of her best friends from cheer. It’s a fun activity and a good discipline in working out in school. Salcido definitely thinks that some of you should try out for cheerleading!
