Experiences that will soon be in the past
Senior Spotlight- Carlos Sandoval
Carlos Sandoval is one of hundreds of graduates this month, and although he feels like the years went by really fast, he’s more than ready to get his diploma. When he was younger, he wanted to be a police officer, but as he’s gotten older he’s settled into either going to a trade school or a community college for his education. His primary goal is to simply be successful and to be able to continue paying his own bills.
At Armijo, one of his favorite teachers has been Ms. Sylvia Herrera. She had the most impact on him, mostly because “she was really cool and she would let us out to the garden during sixth period.”
His favorite memory from this school year would be having a PE class with his old classmates, but one of his pet peeves on campus is seeing “the bad kids that do weird stuff,” he said.
While he has a lot of memories on campus over the years, one of his favorite happened when school was not in session. Carlos, who his family calls “Charly”, reminisced about the time when and his friends went to a trampoline park with his friends.
In just a few weeks, the memories that he has shared with his friends and family around the high school experience will be in the past and Sandoval is looking forward to his chance to create memories that will take him into the future and beyond.
