FHS Students’ Video Production Skills Shine in Bike to School Initiative

Congratulations to the Fairfield High School students for encouraging healthy habits with compelling commercials.

FAIRFIELD, CA – The Fairfield High School’s video production class has once again demonstrated their skills and creativity in producing three compelling commercials promoting Bike to School Day and Bike to School Month. The commercials are part of a collaborative project between VibeSolano and the Safe Routes 2 School Program, aimed at encouraging students to cycle to school and promoting healthy habits while reducing traffic congestion.

Thirteen students from the FHS Film Crew participated in this initiative, utilizing their knowledge and experience in video creation to produce engaging and informative commercials. The combined efforts of six students from the Film Crew resulted in the creation of three videos that are now being showcased on the county’s websites, as well as the Facebook and Instagram pages of VibeSolano.

The students whose work is being recognized include Ashley Avery, Ivan Oropeza Bernal, Giovanni Duarte Torres, Eduardo Pineda Cinto, Devin Patrick, and Angelica Vazquez Castillo. The videos can be viewed on the FHS Film Crew’s YouTube page.

“We are incredibly proud of our students and the dedication they have shown in producing these commercials,” said Mr. Fee, the FHS Video Production Class teacher. “This project has provided them with a unique opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in class to real-world scenarios and the work they have produced is promoting a great cause.”

In recognition of their hard work, the students are currently preparing a brief presentation for the directors from the Safe Routes 2 School Program. The presentation will be made during the SR2S advisory committee meeting on Wednesday, May 17, where they will share on the collaboration and the invaluable lessons they have learned through the experience.
