Are you thinking about joining a club? Use your brainpower to pick this one.

While Psychology Club is mostly a social club, there are psychology-related social activities here and there, according to the adviser, Mr. Gustavo Falcon, who also teaches a Psychology class.

This club started during the 2020-2021 school year, when students were doing Distance Learning, but took a hiatus during the 2021-2022 year. They currently meets in C-8 at lunch on Wednesdays. The club participates in fundraisers and games as well as hosting psychology-related activities, like a discussion about gaslighting or art therapy. The primary purpose of the Psychology Club is to promote mental health awareness. “Anyone who is interested in psychology can join,” said Mr. Falcon.

While there are currently only about a dozen or so students actively participating, the club does have four officers, three of whom are seniors: President Jada-Lynne LeBlanc, Vice President Christian “Nex” Domondon, Secretary Alyssa Weston, and Treasurer Brianna Vierra.

In a time when mental health is being challenged, membership in this club can provide awareness as well as comfort. It is not too late to get involved and underclassmen are encouraged to consider participating and possibly running for a position as an officer for the 2023-2024 school year.
