Looking back, he has a great history
CD Review – The 20/20 Experience
Justin Timberlake is a famous icon you’ve probably heard of. He first started out in a boy band that fans went crazy over in the late 90s called *NSYNC with JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. Although the group was successful, they split up in 2002 because Justin wanted to get a head start to his own career.
That is when he released his first solo album, Justified, on November 5, 2002, produced by Jive Records. This album was a hit and includes famous songs such as Track 5, Cry Me a River and track 6, Rock Your Body.
He soon released more albums but one of my favorites was The 20/20 Experience (Deluxe Version). This album came out 11 years after Justified and it is the R&B/Soul genre. The project includes 12 songs with a listening time of 1 hour and 19 minutes.
I really did enjoy listening to this album from start to finish. You can hear his talent for singing for over a decade. My favorite track was Mirrors. The lyrics that stood out to me the most from it was, “So now I say goodbye to the old me, who’s already gone.” After all, are we really the same person we were a year ago?
Not only is Justin good at singing, but he also is good at acting, especially in the movie Friends with Benefits, starring Mila Kuni. The movie came out in 2011 and then Justin was featured in a few more movies such as Trolls which he was also a part of that soundtrack for in 2016 and 2020.
Justin Timberlake hasn’t released a new album in years, although he has been dropping singles here and there, but no new music from this year.
