Listening to Swifty
CD Review – Love Story by Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift started singing at the age of 11 at a 79ers basketball game. She has been singing ever since. Taylor started with mainly country songs, as she’s from West Pennsylvania, but her style has branched out over the years.
The CD Fearless features the song Love Story. The album was her second album, released on September 5, 2008, under Big Machine Records. Fearless shows how her music peeks into Country pop and pop, but the album songs more into love music. The song Love Story is the base of the album.
Love Story is one of my favorite songs by Taylor Swift. It is based in the Renaissance, with a story set in the 1590’s about not being able to be together and fascinating about someone she has never met. It says in the song, “I’ll be waiting, all there’s left to do is run. You’ll be the prince and I’ll be the princess. It’s a love story, baby, just say, ‘Yes’.” She sees this guy and dreams of him one day becoming her Romeo.
The songs that make up this album really connect with the title as all the songs are talking about the progressing love story that makes her fearless. Love Story didn’t have anyone featured in it but still made history as a great love song.
I would recommend listening to Taylor Swift’s songs. Many say bad things about Taylor because her songs are girly, but they are made for people who love, love; and need something to help them with hardship.
