Video Game Review – The Last Of Us Part 1
Most people are aware of classic video games such as; Mario Kart. However, some people aren’t aware of the video games released in the 1980s. Those games being in question, this is going to clear up any questions on the video game “The Last Of Us Part 1”, which was remade and released on September 2, 2022.
The video game was originally founded on September 27, 1984 by Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog released this video game to the PlayStation 5 on September 2, 2022 and it is scheduled for release on Windows on March 3, 2023. So, unfortunately this game is so far only released on one platform.
This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for anyone below this age. This rating has been given due to the game’s features involving violence against vulnerable and defenseless characters, graphic violence and use of strong language. This is, however, reasonable as the genre of this game is an Action-Adventure shooter game.
Joel is a grizzled survivor of a dangerous post-pandemic world, who has slowly lost his sense of mortality after the loss of his daughter. Ellie is a young girl with her own struggle to find real human connection. The two are forced together and must travel across the U.S. in search of a faint hope for the future of humanity. This is a game that has a heavily character and driven story, so it’s highly recommended that you play Part 1 before starting Part 2 (which is also reviewed in this issue of The Armijo Signal at https://the-armijo-signal.com/?p=34786).
“The Last Of Us: Part 1” is one of the most popular and successful games of the last decade! Because of this popularity, there is a really good star review at 4.3. A fan named Robert said, “This game is so sick! It had my heart racing at times. The graphics and acting are out of this world. The way the characters move and sound when they talk is beautiful. If you want to forget about your bad day, strap in and enjoy this ride.”
The cost of this video game is a bit pricey launching at $69.99 and $79.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. As much as that is, the game does offer Pre-Purchase to receive in-game items. Games with a lot of detail tend to range about that much, so it’s a reasonable price.
Based on reviews like Roberts, “The Last Of Us Part 1” is definitely a game that seems enjoyable, especially to teenagers. But due to the features of the game, it’s strictly for Adults Only (18+). But if you aren’t already an adult, have some patience so you can try out this game when you’re of age!
