It was made available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in November 2020, and Stadia received it in September 2021.
This game combines elements of puzzle, adventure, and action gaming. The game has a PEGI 3 rating. Although the game’s material is appropriate for all ages, given the genres and content, it is suggested that players be at least 7-years old. A review from a parent of an 8-year old player of the game is also available. They said, “My child was thrilled when I downloaded the game for them! Because I know they’ll get distracted and end up playing for hours, I try not to give them the device too much. If you’re a parent or just someone in general, you should download this game!”
The story of the game centers on a small prince who is sent on a quest to restore the Moon, star, and constellations after his father, the King of the Cosmos, unintentionally destroyed them. In order to progress in the “make a star” mode of this video game, the player must expand the Katamari to a specified size within a set amount of time.
The plot, environment and characters in Katamari Damacy are extremely stylized and fantastical, frequently both glorifying and staring down aspects of Japanese society. This video game was highly welcomed in Japan and North America, where it unexpectedly became popular and won multiple awards.
The cost of this game will vary depending on where you purchase it. It costs $8.99 on eBay and about $22.50 on Amazon. Fortunately, there are no in-game purchases because the game is free to play! Since they aren’t wasting additional funds, most individuals appreciate those kinds of games.
