#11 moves up to Varsity
Girls’ Varsity Basketball Player – Kessia Lopez Molina
“I started loving the game, that’s what motivates me,” said Varsity Girls’ Basketball player Kessia Lopez Molina, #11 on the team.
Last year, Lopez played on the Junior Varsity (JV) team and that was her first year on the court, but she stuck with the sport because she found it worthwhile. She started playing however, because she enjoyed watching members of her family play and wanted to get better at it. She hopes to continue playing at least through high school, and maybe in college.
Lopez believes that, for a team to be a good team, the players need to have unity, confidence, and, most importantly, communication, which assures that everyone works together and hopefully wins.
While she enjoys her time on the basketball court, she also enjoys doing art projects, especially drawing and painting. Another one of her hobbies is reading.
