Traveling with fashion trends
Fashion Review: Travel looks for vacation trips
From the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere, no matter where you go, fashion will always be around you. Because of this, people are eager to travel and explore different ways of dressing for different types of vacations, or for just traveling in general. The winter travel season starts soon and you want to be ready!
Packing for your Vacation
It almost pains me to see people pack things that are totally unnecessary for a trip! Just kidding! But really, one should learn to differentiate the needed from the unneeded. For the unneeded things to pack, we can look to Gavin Simmons, who travels frequently. “Those gaming consoles are unnecessary even though some people want to bring them,” he said. “I feel like those are in the way of the vacation most of the time, and you usually don’t even get to use it if you explore.”
For things needed to pack, we can look to the Passey siblings, who travel because of their dad being in the military. Sammi Passey said, “Whatever outfit that you’re going to wear that has the most layers, wear that while you’re traveling.” If you have a jacket that folds up to be a little bulky, wear that as your travel outfit, and then bring a couple pairs of pants or just a pair of pants that can go with almost anything, if the trip is short. “Bring shirts that you can wear in different ways,” she said.
Similarly, Ciaran Simmons said, “Don’t bring too many shoes. Just bring one pair that you can really walk in. Too many shoes can clutter up.”
Airport Outfits
Going from here to there or from there to here, you’ll use some sort of transportation, and the most common for substantial vacations is an airplane. So, what’s recommended to be worn? Kyle Durano, who has traveled to Rome, said, “On the plane, I wore the same black jacket I wear on Mondays and Fridays – it’s from Northface, a really nice jacket – and then just my everyday pants, which were jeans.”
Away From Here Outfits
Elli Passey said, “For the colder areas, [I wore] coats for when it snowed outside, and boots. To Paris, I wore a lot of jackets, since it was really windy. I wore the same pair of sneakers every single day, so much that the soles got destroyed because you walk everywhere.” You should wear sturdy shoes or at least shoes that you don’t mind getting destroyed when you travel, because you never know how much you’ll use them.
Ciaran Simmons, Gavin Simmons’ brother, provides more input on what was worn. “On our trip to Mexico, I wore a hoodie and shorts as well,” he said. “I bought a couple of shirts for our trip. I wore short sleeves as well.”
Michael Alcantara said, “In my time in Guam, I wore slippers, long shorts, and a t-shirt. When it was colder, I just wore long cargo shorts. If you’re still curious on what I mean, you can look at a Three Plus album.”
