Serving with Honor, Veteran’s Day Parade features many levels
November 11, starting at 10 am
The theme of the 2022 Veterans’ Day Parade in Fairfield is “Serving with Honor” and a fly-over from Travis Air Force Base will bring eyes from the parade route to the skies on Friday, November 11.
The City of Fairfield is hosting the event to honor the veterans who have served and fought for our country. This event is open to anyone that wants to come and the Armijo Royal Regiment and Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (JrROTC) will be joining veterans, police officers, the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West, local medical personnel, and local businesses as part of the festivities. The parade will feature luxury cars, special trucks and horses.
A commemoration ceremony and concert are scheduled at the Downtown Theater at 10 am. Food vendors will be present throughout the day as well. This is an opportunity so show respect for the veterans while recognizing the freedoms that they have provided.
The Parade begins at 10 am. According to the Your Town Monthly magazine, the parade will travel “down Kentucky Street to Great Jones, then turn up Texas Street to Washington.”
