Kim raises a racquet

For freshman Lily Kim, early evenings have been almost as long as the school day, with tennis practice from 5 to 7 pm.

Kim has been playing for three years and is a sport she enjoys. They usually practice at Armijo, but they also visit different locations sometimes to get a feel for different courts.

Tennis is a sport that other members of her family play and she wanted to keep that tradition going. She looked to them for learning the sport and brought her skills to Armijo.

While she loves playing tennis and much of her fall has been wrapped up in school, practice and games, she does have other hobbies, including hanging out with her friends and family, and making TikTok videos.

The season is drawing to a close and Kim will have much more time to pursue those other interests, unless she decides to take up another sport, which is always an option for a natural athlete like herself.
