Running gives her peace

Athlete Focus: Jaelin Kraft, Cross-Country

Daniela Contreras

Catching her standing still is a rare occurence.

Almost every day of the week this fall, Jaelin Kraft has found herself at Cross-Country practice from about 4 to 6 pm. This is nothing new for this sophomore who joined the team last year as a freshman.

Kraft has a family history of Cross-Country and she has been encouraged and trained by those who have gone before her. It was probably because of those relatives that Kraft decided to join the team. She didn’t really know what made her want to run.

Running isn’t the only thing that Kraft enjoys. She also likes to do things like hang out with her friends and watch movies. Once the season is over, she’ll have more time to do just that, but she may choose to stay active so that she can run track in the spring.
