It's been an interesting journey so far, but Nolan has far to go.

It’s been an interesting journey so far, but Nolan has far to go.

Nolan DuBois is originally from Bremerton, Washington, but he now attends Armijo High School in Fairfield, California. It may just be one step in his journey along the western coast of the United States.

Bremerton was close enough from Seattle for day trips, but far enough away to avoid big city traffic, from what DuBois remembers, although he moved from that city when he was only six. He said that he misses the winter snow the most, something that he doesn’t get to experience locally. He has considered moving back, at least briefly.

Moving has been second nature for DuBois because his father is in the navy and was stationed in Oxnard in 2013, and the entire family moved there before moving to Fairfield a few years later.

When he graduates, DuBois plans to work and go to a trade school, but while he is at Armijo, he is involved in playing Junior Varsity (JV) football.

It’s not always easy to pick up and move, but DuBois has managed to figure out a wayto adapt and continues to have a positive attitude.
