The Girls’ Golf team is small, but each player impacts the results in a positive way.
Marisol Leon Chavez is one of the seven girls on the team. They meet with Coach Gus Falcon every Monday and Wednesday at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fairfield for practice and are getting better day by day.
Like many of the players, this is Leon’s first year playing golf. She decided to play to make friends with other girls who were interested in the sport and, because the team is small, that has been easy.
Even though she is not very experienced, she has already determined that Paradise Valley is her favorite course. She has also realized that, for her, a good game is not only winning but also making progress from the last game. A good game also includes having fun with the other girls on the team.
