Bring a little color into your life on Friday, September 23.

In 2019, Maria Reyes introduced the idea of a Color Run as a pre-game activity for the Armijo Football game, and that tradition is returning on Friday, September 23, with a few tweaks.

“There will be a Color Festival, which is different from the last year,” Leadership adviser Mr. Casey Towner said. Those differences include brand new color-related games. The grand finale will be the Color Run, which will end in a rush of colored powder being thrown into the air.

Participants will need to have an activity waiver in case something happens, like an injury during the run or events, or getting color powder in your eyes. “Don’t be alarmed,” said Mr. Towner. “We haven’t had any incidents in a while and we won’t again this year. We’re going to have a fun and colorful day.”

The Color Festival will take place beyond the library on the left field of the Junior Varsity (JV) Baseball field. It will start at 4:15 pm. The event is free for those who have submitted their waivers. Water will also be available for free and snacks and Gatorade will be for sale.
