Don’t Stop Believin’ became a hit for the band early on.

In the fall of 1980, Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Steve Perry collaborated to write Don’t Stop Believin’, which was then released as part of the album Escape.

The title of the song was first influenced by Cain’s father, who encouraged him to “don’t stop believing” in his goals and had always supported him and his music since he was a little child, according to https://groovyhistory.com/journey-dont-stop-believin

Don’t Stop Believin’ was well on its way to become the #1 single at a time when rock music was on its way up. They were able to sell over 80 million albums worldwide, including roughly 435,000 copies of this album and Journey became one of the most popular bands on the globe. The title of the song later became the title of their 2009 album: Don’t Stop Believin’ – the Best of Journey which was followed in 2011 by two Greatest Hits albums.

I found the music good, although it was not exactly my taste in music. It definitely is a classic and I recommend it to others who love to vibe out on old music. “I’ve loved listening to this genre of music for as long as I can remember,” said Tirsa Huffaker. “I think the first time I heard this song I was in the kitchen with my family cooking dinner and my mom heard it and just turned up the stereo. It’s a core memory I think I would never allow myself to forget…this music is very fun to listen to because of the energy it gives off.”
