“Love can hurt more than it can help”
CD Single Review – Ghost Town
Interested in some new music to add onto your playlist? Consider checking out Benson Boone, a 19-year-old singer-songwriter and American Idol finalist, and his debut single “Ghost Town”.
Boone starts the song off with a consistent rhythm of piano notes and sings out powerful vocals to create this touching ballad. Boone said that the song was, “…based off emotions that were pulled from observing a friend’s toxic relationship and realizing development in his own emotional maturity.” (Totalntertainment.com)
With lyrics such as, “Maybe you’d be happier with someone else, maybe lovin’ me is the reason you can’t love yourself” and “Before I turn your heart into a ghost town, show me everything we built so I can tear it all down,” this song perfectly captures the feeling of heartbreak. Boone explained that, “Love can hurt more than it can help. Sometimes the best way of showing someone you care is by letting them go.”
Along with his debut, Boone released a debut music video for “Ghost Town.” Check out the video by clicking on this link.
