Make your Bubba smile on his day
National Bubba Day – June 2
Do you have a Bubba in your life? Do you know what a Bubba is?
On June 2, we recognize our brothers on National Bubba Day. It’s a day to appreciate them and let them know how much they mean to us.
A “bubba” is a word that indicates that someone is a little brother. Sometimes, it become the actual nickname, but it is generally only used by close family and friends as a term of endearment, a word or phrase expressing love or affection.
According to Wikipedia, there are a lot of famous athletes and musicians with the nickname Bubba. Even President Bill Clinton has been given that moniker. “His folksy manner led him to be nicknamed Bubba, especially in the South” (Wikipedia). But National Bubba Day is about celebrating the Bubba’s in our personal lives.
One way to celebrate is by letting them know you’re thinking about them. Maybe you can shoot them a text during the school day, or just share memories and laughter at the dinner table.
Let’s appreciate our little brothers and let your Bubba know how much you love him!
