Are your parents nagging you about doing your chores while you keep trying to come up with excuses? You probably don’t want then to know that May 18 is National No Dirty Dishes Day.
While it may seem logical to simply not wash dishes that day and put them off until tomorrow, many people celebrate this day by avoiding using their dishes. Some choose to spend the day enjoying take-out while others eat directly out of the containers. Still others who want to celebrate without leaving a pile of dishes for later use disposable cups and plates for the day and pop them into the trash at the end of the meal.
Days of the Year suggests eating pizza or other finger food, like fried chicken or egg rolls, or maybe enjoying a picnic or a nice meal out, and let someone else miss out on the National Day.
This is the one day a year that people can celebrate by not doing the dishes, and the one time that they discover how much time this simple chore takes out of their day.
