So much of the world is unexplained

National Paranormal Day – May 3

Creepy things tickle the imagination.

While October is generally associated with ghosts and goblins, National Paranormal Day occurs annually on May 3.

This day talks about experiences out of the ordinary. The word paranormal usually describes the idea of spirits, hauntings, or poltergeists. National Paranormal Day encourages people to share their spine-chilling experiences, allowing others to explore the paranormal world, and go into the unknown (National Day Calendar.com).

Anything that cannot be proven by science — such as déjà vu, UFO’s, Bigfoot, or ghosts – can be considered paranormal. National Paranormal Day was first recognized in 2013, but its origins are as uncertain as the events it honors.

National Today.com states that Charles Fort is known for compiling thousands of paranormal stories, and he might be the first person to write down and hypothesize about anything unexplainable like ghosts and other paranormal sightings. His collection, known as The Book of the Damned, was first published in 1919, over 100 years ago (Wikipedia).

To participate on this day, you can go ghost hunting, share paranormal experiences, watch paranormal movies, or educate yourself on the unknown. While there are no ghost hunts available on National Paranormal Day at Napa, it is possible to schedule a local tour later in the month at https://napaghosts.com/#!tour-ifo/c17yk.

There is so much within the universe that has yet to be explained and so much that has yet to be discovered. Go explore on this day if you dare!
