National Hug a Newsperson Day will be celebrated on Sunday, April 4. It is a time to show appreciation and encourage the hard working news reporters who have been doing this for many years all around the world.
It’s always important to show hard working people that you acknowledge them and how grateful you are from them. Without news reporters, how long do you think it would take for us to know the information we gain within just hours?
How can you observe/participate in this national day? Hug a Newsperson Today gave us the idea of downloading this app: coloring page and with that you could color in a picture you are given and send it to the newsperson you chose to let them know you’re thankful for them!
Another option? Find a story in The Armijo Signal that you truly like and share your appreciation for the writer in the Comments section. You may not be able to give him or her a physical hug, due to social distancing, but you can still make the writer feel good by sharing some good feelings for the work they’ve put in.
