Small businesses make big impacts
National SBDC Day – March 17
From mom-and-pop shops to small boutiques and restaurants, on March 17 we celebrate the Small Business Development Centers that provide support to the businesses we love.
In 1976 these national centers were created to help businesses successfully start-up by supplying resources to locations across the US (National SBDC Day). The SBDC holds events and conferences to promote its services of marketing, business planning, and technology development (America’s SBDC). During this time where thousands of small businesses have been affected by Covid-19, the SBDC is offering resources aimed towards managing these challenges. There are a total of 62 SBDCs in the US. California holds 6, one of them being in Solano County.
On the third Wednesday of March, we look at the impact the SBDC’s of America have made in helping small businesses thrive. The organization allows people to turn their dreams into reality and reach goals that never seemed possible. On this March 17 don’t forget about the small businesses around you and how they’ve impacted your life. You can celebrate National SBDC Day and visit the SBDC website to see what services they offer and how they help the community.
