Stop letting it get to you and move on

National Get over It Day – March 9

National Get over It Day was created by Jeff Goldblatt in 2005 when he was having trouble getting over an ex-girlfriend. He strategically put this day on March 9, the midpoint between Valentine’s Day and April Fool’s Day.

Goldblatt developed the National Get over It Day purpose and poem (see image) as a universal concept that many could relate to. The concept quickly went viral, and has since been featured by Good Morning America, ESPN SportsCenter, 1000+ media outlets worldwide, according to The Whatever Network (https://rb.gy/f2u2b3).

People across the country observe this day and all you have to do just as it implies, use the day is to just get over it, whatever it might be! “Settle the score with yourself and your burden will feel lighter and have you feeling like a completely different person. You have to say goodbye to the worry of the “if onlys” and “what ifs” and look forward to days with a more positive attitude,” suggests National Day Calendar (https://rb.gy/lsh9c9).

Happy Days 365 said, “Getting over it means not letting the past ruin your life and stopping yourself from living in the bitter past and sticking with the current. On this day resolve not to concern yourself with something that’s already happened and move on to more productive pursuits. It is an important day to be celebrated as most of the people living needs a day like this to make a small difference in their life” (https://rb.gy/yefxhj).

So what are you going to face and forget on March 9? After all, you just need to get over it.
