It about more than just cookies!
National Girl Scout Week – March 7 to 13
The cookies are here and people have been getting them delivered since February, but the best time to order them might be during National Girl Scouts Week, March 7 – 13. The week of celebration includes the birthday of the Girl Scouts, March 12. On that day in1912, Juliette Gordon Low registered the first 18 girls in the organization in Savannah, Georgia (https://rb.gy/bpmbf0).
Within Girl Scouts, there are different uniforms based on their grade level. There are six grade levels: Daisies (K-1), Brownies (2-3), Juniors (4-5), Cadets (6-8), Seniors (9-10), and Ambassadors (11-12). Based on the grade level, girls can earn different badges.
Girl Scouts can be awarded with a Gold Reward. Those who have helped implement a new policy or who have spread awareness of issues receive the award.
One way to help out Girl Scouts is by buying their cookies or by donating. Volunteering is also a great way to help Girl Scouts earn their badges, but if you are a girl reading this, it is probably not too late to join a troop yourself.
