Show the caregivers that you care
National Caregivers Day – February 19
National Caregivers Day honors the health care professionals across the country providing long-term care to their patients. National Caregivers Day is always on the third Friday in February, which lands on February 19, 2021.
Some ways to show appreciation to health care professionals is to take a few minutes out of your day to thank a them for their dedication. Maybe someone is caring you’re your grandparent or neighbor. Can you imagine what a boost it would be if you showed appreciation for them by writing them a card?
According to joincake.com (https://rb.gy/ts1nse), National Caregivers Day was founded by The Providers Association for Home Health & Hospice Agencies back in 2016 to dedicate a day to caregivers everywhere!
If you don’t currently know a caregiver that deserves attention, consider sending a thank you card to the staff at a local care home, like Bright Minds Residential Care (http://www.brightmindsresidentialcare.com/) or Genesis Home Care (https://www.genesiscarehome.com/). Imagine how happy they will be to know they are appreciated for the jobs that they do, sometimes risking their lives to work, especially during this global pandemic.
