If people are unavailable, go ahead and kiss a lovable ginger cat.

According to Wikipedia.org, less than 2% of the world population has red hair, so National Kiss a Ginger Day on January 12 might be a challenge, but some redheads, often referred to as Gingers, might get a lot of kisses!

If you have someone special, the Ginger you kiss can be a significant other, a sibling, a parent or a friend.

While it may be difficult to get up the courage or opportunity to actually “kiss a Ginger,” you can simply do something nice for a redhead that you love. Maybe you’d be interested in kissing a ginger-colored cat or celebrate by kissing a ginger snap cookie. The possibilities for celebrating this special day are open!

If “kissing a Ginger” is still a challenge, feel free to enjoy something that features a Ginger. Perhaps you would like to imagine kissing a famous redhead, like Kirsten Dunst or Rupert Grint. Maybe you’d like to laugh along with a classic redhead, Lucille Ball or Seth Green. Listening to music by Ed Sheeran or Rihanna might also be an option.

Redheads, or gingers, can stand out because of their unusual hair color. One of the benefits to having red hair is that it doesn’t generally go gray, although it does some in a variety of shades, from rich auburn to pale strawberry blonde. So, how can you “kiss a Ginger” on this day, either literally or figuratively?
