Reflect on those who are reflective
World Introvert Day – January 2
Introverts can be described as those who appear both quiet and shy, people who are hesitant to initiate a conversation or to propose ideas. We come together on January 2 to celebrate World Introvert Day.
Spreading awareness and educating others about what it’s like to be an introvert is important because it allows others to understand how to approach someone who may be shy, how to converse with someone, or how to make an introvert feel comfortable enough to open up.
Some ways to honor those who are focused on in World Introvert Day include learning about famous introverts such as Albert Einstein or Charles Darwin. You can also spend the day watching movies with main characters who are introverts such as How to Train Your Dragon or The Hobbit. This day would be a great time to reflect on people within your family who could be considered introverts.
According to www.NationalDayCalendar, Felicitas Heyne created the first Introvert Day on January 2, 2011, but it is a day that is generally celebrated by the honorees in a quiet fashion. During the pandemic, true introverts have had an easier time with the shelter-in-place orders, but they still thrive with close friends and trusted connections.
In our world, introverts are often misunderstood. They can be viewed as stuck up or strange just because they have a different way of thinking and working. Introverts help shape a portion of the world, although they deal with unique problems with relationships, both romantic and career. On World Introvert Day, if you are an introvert, know that people are celebrating your individual characteristics and getting to know you better on this day.
