Two are often better than one

National Twin Day – December 18

A twin is a friend from the very beginning.

You’re not seeing double. December 18 is simply National Twin Day.

This is a special day for siblings who share a birthday. They may look the same, or completely different, but they have grown up together since the beginning and National Twin Day is a time to celebrate their unique bond.

Because twins can’t just have one of anything, there is also a Twins Days celebration in August (http://tiny.cc/twinsdays). National Twins Day in December was founded by identical twins Aaron and Moses Wilcox in 1819. They donated land to a town in Ohio, so long as they changed the name of the town to Twinsburg. That is where the August holiday is now celebrated, with a weekend of fun geared at celebrating the twin relationship (https://www.nationaldayarchives.com).

Some famous twins are Tia and Tamera Mowry from the popular throwback show Sister, Sister and Cole and Dylan Sprouse from their shows on Disney The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and the spinoff, The Suite Life on Deck.
