Get ready for the American release of Synchronic
New Orleans paramedics Dennis Dannelly (Jaimie Doman) and Steve Denube (Anthony Mackie) are called into a house whose inhabitants are strange substances, the following nights they are called into insane house accidents, and they find a mysterious drug called Synchronic that causes hallucinations and people to act unlike themselves.
We learn that Steve has a brain tumor and has about six weeks to live, but his daughter Brianna (Ally Ioannides) vanishes mysteriously from a party after taking Synchronic. He decides to hide his sickness from Dennis while they look for his daughter. However, Steve goes on his own mission to find Brianna by buying up all the Synchronic packets in town, hoping to save those who would take it.
While the film was originally shown at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, I have yet to see the film because it’s not yet out in the United States. Judging from the reviews and the previews, however, I do recommend you watch if you like Sci-Fi and horror movies. It is scheduled to come to platforms such as Google Play movie, Itunes, and theaters on October 23, 2020.
