First day of school style sets the pace
Fashion Review
The first day of school is usually the day students show off their stylish outfits, and even though it is online, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look our best this year!
Because of the camera angle for the current classroom, students should definitely wear a top that they really like, something unique that’s very stylish. I think you should go with a graphic or a designer tee. Make sure the t-shirt fits to your liking. You wouldn’t want to be too uncomfortable. “You can’t go wrong with being comfy. It’s simple but it’s cute, whatever you want to wear to express yourself,” said Elizabeth Norman.
Now, for the bottoms, if you are planning to get out of the house at all, or even just take your education seriously, ditch the pajama bottoms and pair that special tee with jeans. Light-wash jeans pair great with a lighter shirt, but if you are wearing a dark-colored shirt, wear jeans that have more blue to make the shirt pop.
My favorite part is accessories and, since people will be focused on your face in the classroom, you can’t go wrong by making sure they are simple and sweet. Too much jewelry can be too distracting. If you have a necklace you always wear, wear it and a nice bracelet that matches. Even if your classmates aren’t seeing your wrists, it will make you feel getter.
Don’t overthink your favorite hairstyle. Make sure you don’t have too much hair on your face, and you’ll avoid fussing with it on screen and touching your face. But do keep your face in focus so your teachers and classmates can get to know who you are as the school year begins.
Even though you might not be in the physical presence of your classmates, a little spritz of your favorite scent won’t hurt! It will help make you feel secure and, if you do choose to go out, it will give people something pleasant to smell through their social-distancing masks. Let what you do the first day of the year set a positive tone for the next nine months, online or in person.
