An important message regarding 2020 high school graduation ceremonies
As the Coronavirus pandemic has developed, we’ve responded by taking precautions, closing school buildings, and shifting to distance learning. Every step of the way, we continued to hold out hope that we would be able to have in-person graduation ceremonies. Unfortunately, it is now clear that we will be unable to ensure everyone’s safety at an in-person graduation ceremony. I share in your disappointment as graduation is the highlight of every school year.
We will be honoring our 2020 graduating seniors through video ceremonies. The video ceremonies will include all of the elements that we would normally include in an in-person graduation ceremony. These video ceremonies will be released for all to view on June 17th at staggered times throughout the day.
In addition to the June virtual celebration, we are committed to providing an in-person graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 at a later date even if that means holding it in the summer of 2021.
