Should you see The Invisible Man?
The Invisible Man, which was released in theaters on Friday, February 28, stars Elizabeth Moss (Cecilia Kass), Oliver Jackson (Adrian Griffin), Aldis Hodge (James Lanier), Storm Reid (Sydney Lanier), Harriet Dyer (Emily Kass), and Michael Dorman (Tom Griffin). This film fits into the genre categories of Horror, Mystery, sci-fi, and thriller.
This movie is a modernized remake of the 1933 movie based on a story by H.G. Wells that was originally told in 1897. The movie takes place in San Francisco. It is an intense movie with many suspenseful scenes.
The story begins when Cecilia Kass leaves Adrian Griffin because of their toxic relationship. In fact, one of the most tension-filled scenes was in the beginning when Cecilia was trying to escape his house. Adrian is a crazed sociopathic scientist who fakes his own death and somehow finds a way to be invisible so that he can stalk and traumatize his ex-girlfriend. Cecilia tells the police and her friends what’s going on, but they don’t believe her, so she takes matters into her own hands and finds a way to outsmart him.
This is a perfect movie for you if you like a good mystery movie with some jump scares. Some people may say that this movie is not scary, but there are some scenes that may surprise you and catch you off guard. This was a successful thriller because I could really understand what Cecilia felt through the screen.
